Have you met the Aldingers? Do you know them? I feel like EVERYBODY knows at least one of the Aldingers. Seriously.
Well, if you don’t know them, you’re missing out but fear not, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before your paths cross. The Aldingers are amazing. Yep, they are. They are our neighbors, but more importantly, our friends. These are the people that would give you the shirt off of their back if you needed it. All three kiddos are actively involved in a million activities and have social lives out the wazoo and the Mr. and Mrs. seem to find time for it all. I’ll never understand it. They are the kind of people you aspire to be… and quite humbly, they are denying it right now. There’s also a real truth about them. While I paint a perfectly lovely picture, I do realize that they are not, in fact, totally perfect. Like the rest of us they have their moments and they OWN them. THAT is why I love them even more! They admit to their faults, they own them, and they try to improve upon them. They’ve opened my eyes a time or two. They’ve also listened with an open mind when I had a different point of view. In the world today, having friends that can and will do that is refreshing. I love that we don’t have to agree on everything or do everything the same way and yet I think we all tend to learn a little something because of that. In this world today it takes a village to raise a child. I am so very thankful that the Aldingers and many other of my neighbors are in my Shady Ridge village!
