I know sometimes photographers get annoyed when people want to jump in and just “take a quick one”. Like… that’s exactly what we are there for, right?

But this grandma cracked me at my Fresh 48 newborn session that I did in the hospital earlier this week.

Honestly, it is my favorite picture from the session. I love the story that it tells. I love that it’s the kind of moment that rarely gets documented or seen from another perspective.

I love in home and in studio maternity sessions because most people feel more free to be themselves. They are less worried about dresses and poses and more focused on each other. THAT’S what I photograph.

Knowing that you and your photographer are on the same page is KEY! I’ll be the first to admit when your inspiration images aren’t something that I do. I’d much rather you have the right photographer for YOU.

Are you looking to capture connection? Do you want to FEEL your pictures? THAT’S what I do.

Do you want posed perfection? Do you want glamour dresses? That’s not me. And that’s ok. There’s a photographer out there for you and y’all are going to create something beautiful. 😉
