An Engagement Session at Maymont

It’s is always an honor when someone asks me to photograph a special moment in their lives.  It is even more so when it is an engagement.  Though engagement pictures are not something advertised on this website, it is something that I love to do and fall under the Family Session realm.  I have watched both Clarissa and Josh grow from little kids, to teenagers, to a young love and now on their way to tying the knot.  It was a rocky start with their engagement photos.  We had to reschedule several times due to weather, schedules and park events but we eventually got it done.  Looking back the photo session might have been a bit of foreshadowing of what was to come.

Just like their engagement session, their wedding has now been postponed.  Coronavirus.  Yep.  I was all set and looking forward to watching these beautiful souls say their vows in mid June.  The global pandemic has other plans for everyone.  I can’t imagine how heart breaking it must be for so many bride and grooms to have to cancel all of their beautiful plans right now.  I have no doubt, however, that God’s hand is still in every aspect of this and that everything will work out in His perfect timing.  Until then, we sit.  And wait.  And look at beautiful pictures.

BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES"

Santa had his hands full this year! Everyone had so much fun sharing their wishlist, checking out where Santa lives on the globe, eating cookies, checking their name on the nice list and playing with the toys Santa brought. It was a fun filled day!
