Audrey’s mom contacted me concerned that she had waited too long to decide to get newborn photos done of her precious new baby girl. I assured her we would get beautiful pictures and so they drove from Williamsburg to Richmond, Va for their newborn session. I couldn’t help but wonder why they would drive so far? Had a friend recommended me? I asked. Mom’s answer was simple… she had found my website and loved my work. I just sat there kind of stunned… grateful, extremely honored… and stunned. I would love to be able to travel far and wide because people wanted to schedule with me that bad. For now though, I’ll just wait for my popularity to grow. Kidding, y’all. Seriously, though… feel free to help a sister out and let a friend know about my work. I will love you forever. I promise.
Mom had told me that the nursery colors were pink, gray and white and that she loved anything sparkly. I hit my prop closet and got to planning… quickly, because they were coming the next day! The color combo is one of my faves and so I was excited to plan out the session. All I needed now was a sweet baby girl to show up.
So Audrey made the trip. Having slept the entire way in the car I was expecting a challenge to keep her asleep but she was absolutely amazing. A little bit of rocking and then some good ol’ fashioned swaddling and I had a sleeper on my hands. I think it was all in the name. Audrey is my favorite name EVER and I swore if I ever had a little girl that I would name her so. God blessed me with two boys… so no Audrey’s running around this house. I sure was glad to snuggle and love on this one though!
