Zayn’s Richmond newborn baby photography session started out a little rocky, I’m not going to lie.  This little dude was playing for team No Sleep for most of his session.  All of my soothing efforts and endless rocking were no match for this one.  He was content while resting in my arms but if I went to lay him down it was a completely different ball game.  In the end, my patience won the game.  I managed to convert him over to team Sleep Baby.  It was not easy.  Haha!

At the end of each Richmond newborn baby photography session I almost always hear “you were so patient with him/her, thank you so much.  I don’t know how you do it.”  To be honest, I don’t know either.  Most of my friends and family will tell you I am not a very patient person.  Despite my best efforts to become one, I have much room for improvement.  However, it’s different when it’s a newborn baby.  These little guys and gals can’t tell you what they want.  If you watch closely, though, they will oftentimes show you.  It’s just a matter of paying close attention to the signs.  Some signs point to tummy pain, acid reflux or gas.   Other signs point to hunger.  Sometimes baby just isn’t tired.  Period.  So we wait.  In the end, it all works out.
