Sweet and Simple Cake Smash

Jen Jacobowitz Photography does things a bit different that other photography studios when it comes to Cake Smash photography sessions.  We offer a sweet and simple cake smash.  While there may be an occasional balloon or two, our focus is designed to be on the child.  There are several reasons for this and I would love to talk to you about it if you are interested.  Many people tell me that they love my pictures.  They then proceed to tell me what they would like to see in their pictures.  Sometimes it is a match.  Sometimes it is not.

There are other photographers that offer a more vibrant, party like theme when it comes to Cake Smashes.  If need be, I am happy to refer them.  I have found that sometimes people don’t really actually know why they are drawn to my pictures.  Sometimes they think a Cake Smash has to look a certain way because it is all they have really seen before.  I am happy to offer a different option.

Mila Turns One!

Mila’s mom knew exactly what she wanted.  She knew exactly why she was drawn to my Cake Smash photography session pictures.  Sweet and simple was her true desire.  It’s a good thing that we started out with casual pictures first.  As much as Mila seemed to smile at me during our consultation and even after the cake smash, she was not feeling it during the actual event.  It was clear that she was teething.  The only thing that made her truly happy was the pearl necklace that I gave her.  There was not taking it away for the cake portion of the session.  Yes, there were tears when we tried.

Regardless, she was adorable.  A true beauty.
