Why Are Milestone Pictures Important?
You may find yourself asking “are milestone pictures really important?” The answer is always, yes! Why? Once your child gets older you will have a yearly picture of them from their school at the very least. You will see their progression in each photo. You will get to see their personality develop in between each picture. While many changes happen in a year of your child’s life most are pretty gradual. The first year of your child’s life, however, if a major exception.
The First Year
During the first year of your child’s life they are growing by leaps and bounds. One minute they are this tiny, helpless little being depending on you for everything. With a blink of an eye they are rolling over. Then you find them sitting up. Before you can catch your breath they are crawling. Hold on tight… they are about to start walking! Let’s not forget the first time they showed you a true smile, the first time they laughed when you did something funny. Remember when they were fascinated with their feet and their cute piggy toes became their favorite chew toy? THESE are all the moments that I document during your Milestone photography sessions. THIS is why Milestone pictures are so important!
Ch-ch-CHANGES
My second son looks exactly the same as he did the day he was born. My first son, however, looks nothing like he did as a baby. It’s hard to believe he is even the same child. I often forget about his chubby cheeks and big ol’ head until I see them in pictures. I forget about that gummy smile he had and how fat he was. This growing, thin young man who now shaves his face and has the legs of a gorilla is forever locked in my heart and sight because of the pictures we took when he was a baby.
My most recent Milestone session was with Madeline who is now 8 months old. She was an absolute doll baby and I sure Mom & Dad will treasure these pictures forever. This was one of my most favorite galleries to date. I absolutely love every picture of her! Take a look.
