Newborn Twin Photography | Luca & Hudson
Double the pleasure, double the fun, right? Luca and Hudson came to see me for their newborn twin photography session here in my Short Pump studio in late March. When they were finally able to come to me they were already 7 weeks old. Yes, I said seven. Their time spent in the NICU (29 days if I recall correctly) really helped plump these cuties right up as they had to of been close to 10 pounds each when we met. They started out at a decent size of 5 lbs, 7 oz when they were born.
Double the Love
Newborn twin photography holds a very special place in my heart. I melt each and every time I get to work with a set. I am a (much older) sister to twin brothers. I was 18 years old when they were born and never quite felt like a sister but obviously not a mother to them either. I’ve been stuck in a weird in-between place with them. I wish more than anything I was an experienced newborn photographer back during their newborn and early years. Heck, I wish I had of been any kind of photographer at all back then. My walls would still be plastered with their cute faces.
Hudson and Luca were equally cute. Hudson looks just like his Dad while Luca looks just like his Mom. At seven weeks of age, they weren’t quite as sleepy as those that are younger so there were a lot of hands involved. I had a wonderful assistant that day whom I could not have done without! Kelly, you’re amazing. I am so incredibly happy with the way Hudson and Luca’s newborn twin photography session went. I am excited to watch them grow up. Mom and Dad have a plethora of beautiful pictures to adorn their home and hopefully we will be able to add some more during their Milestone months.
