And just like that another summer whizzed by and my boys are embarking on yet another school year. I can’t believe that this is Johnathan’s last year in elementary school and that Kaleb is in the 3rd grade. I remember the 3rd grade so clearly. I still remember bits and pieces from earlier years as well but for some reason third grade holds most of my youngest memories. I don’t know if that is because it was the last year that I attended school here in the Richmond area before moving to King William or if it’s just the age… but I thought I was something cool… much like some other fellas I know. If we’re friends of FB then you’ve probably already seen these but I had to post them anyway. They make me smile.
For all of you that were sending kiddos off to school for the first time I hope you managed to smile through the tears. I love having my kids at home with me during the summer but there is something to be said for a good nap, grocery shopping alone, and talking on the phone in peace. Happy 2013-2014!
