When Sarah reached out to me desiring a boudoir maternity session I panicked. Uh-oh! What exactly is she imagining? I started thinking of all of these gorgeous boudoir photographers that I’ve seen on IG and wondered how in the world I was going to pull off something that steamy with a 33 week pregnant lady and stay true to my style. I googled. Yes, even experienced photographers look to google for a little help and inspiration. I was surprised to find that what I have already been doing (on a requested basis) was considered Boudoir Maternity. Duh!

Sarah arrived and told me she brought a few things for the session. Again, I started to slightly panic. Those that know me well know that I’m kind of a control freak. LOL! While I will never tell my client that they can not wear something, I will slightly cringe if it does not blend with the aesthetic of the studio. There I said it. Now you know. Sarah, however, crushed it. She brought dainty and tasteful lingerie and also borrowed my lace top.

During our time together, Sarah shared with me that she was doing these pictures as a present to her husband. “He loves me pregnant,” she said. Seeing as this is her third child, she feels this might be the last time she is pregnant. Never say never, Sarah. Hahaha! The thought is so very sweet and I hope her husband loves the pictures just as much as I do.
