I met Olivia as a newborn a year ago.  She came to Jen Jacobowitz Photography as a newborn model.  I have since photographed her and her brother for Christmas pictures and now as she turns one year old.  She is such a beautiful little girl but has always been a little reserved with me.  I’ve had to give her plenty of time to warm up to me.  I’ve done my best to become her friend but she was still cautious the day of her Cake Smash session.  There was some laughing, and there was some crying. I captured it all.  I’ve found that some of my client’s favorite pictures (and mine as well) are those of their child crying.  Sometimes that is just their personality…. and that is OK!  As I’ve said before, I always aim to capture the TRUE personality of a child.

Believe it or not, Olivia and I did become great friends…. at her Ordering Session (which happened to be on her actual birthday)!  She came in full of smiles and shared balloons and toys with me as her parents decided what portraits they wanted to display at their home.  We sang, we played, and at the end of it all she offered me a goodbye kiss. MY HEART MELTED!
