Oh how wonderful it is to be ONE! Why weren’t there any “Cake Smashes” when I was coming up? Or was there? No, I’m fairly certain this is a privilege of being a child of today. Cake smashes are one of my favorite kinds of photo sessions. I simply adore stylizing a set for the sweet babies and then changing over to letting them get rip roaring MESSY!
Charlotte, like others I’ve photographed, wasn’t quite sure of what to do with the sugary piece of yum sitting in front of here but it certainly did not take long for her to figure it all out. At one point, I kid you not, there were pig noises. Yes, pig noises. She wasn’t too keen on the idea of sitting pretty for me when we first started. Perhaps it was because I had just been in her face two weeks earlier with my camera as I photographed her and her sister for their Christmas pictures. I didn’t let her initial reaction stop me from clicking away. In fact, I just kept thinking….
