Baby Logan ~ Newborn Photography in Richmond

I was so honored to hold this newborn photography session in my Richmond VA studio. I am grateful that this family chose me to photograph this beautiful baby boy. Logan slept like a dream and I was in heaven getting to snuggle him. Mom loved all the rich earth tones and I have to say they are my favorite to photograph! You will find that when using color in my sessions, they are muted or darker toned. His session just screamed warm, moody and fall to me. Continuing to photograph him all day would have been easily done.

I really strive to keep images simplistic and classic with an artsy feel. Your images should be timeless so I tend to shy away from themed sessions . I have a very earthy style. (Happy Earth Day, by the way.). There is nothing more beautiful than just a baby. I aim to showcase all the beauty in your little ones!

Cue all the heart eyes for this little guy!! He had the most amazing skin. And he slept SO soundly for his session. Keep scrolling, these pictures will surely make you say “awwww!”

It was THE coldest day and a snow/ice storm was predicted to come our way the next day but, as you can see, the love warmed this room right up!

As I was editing my most recent newborn photoshoot today, I was presented with a fb memory of the very first newborn I ever photographed.

I had no clue what I was doing 13 years ago. I just knew I wanted to photograph babies. My neighbor was willing to be my guinea pig. At the time, I was happy with how they turned out. However, it was hard and I quickly realized I needed help. I tried my hand at it a few more times before biting the bullet and attending a newborn workshop.

My work has evolved and changed quite a bit over the last several years. In fact, I rarely do traditional “beanbag/blanket” poses anymore but every now and then I will incorporate them.

It’s so fun to see the comparison of how my work looked when I first started vs how it looks today!
