I love living in Richmond, VA.  I love being a photographer.  I love being a family photographer in Richmond, VA!  I have been struggling this past week with the desire to move down to Florida and be closer to the Gulf waters.  It all feels so right there.  But then I look at these pictures and I am reminded why I love this place so much.  We have four beautiful seasons.  We have fields of flowers.  The mountains are a little over an hour away.  The beach (though not the Gulf) is just a two hour drive.  The families I have met through my business have become friends.  My family is here.  Yet my heart still longs for the turquoise waters, year round pool weather, and quiet peace that the my favorite island brings.  How could I possibly leave such precious faces as these though?

I have been photographing the McGroarty’s for a couple of years now but this was our first family session.  I met them when I photographed Brendan during his newborn session.  He is now an adorably handsome two year old.  When the next little bundle of joy arrived I photographed him as well.  Now here they all are, a beautiful family inside and out.  Their love for each other and for the Lord shine through in every move and word they speak.  The are tender and sweet with each other.  They are patient and kind.  They are loving.  And I adore them.
