Baseball Mini Session

The Baseball Mini Session option featured this summer was a huge hit at Jen Jacobowitz Photography. Summer is filled with so many fun things and playing baseball with friends is at the top of the list for many kiddos. I would like to try to do a fun new theme each summer so I would love to hear your suggestions. Stylized baseball sessions, however, can be still arranged when scheduling a full session. If you didn’t have a chance to schedule your summer and baseball mini session, be sure to check out the Fall Photography Specials that are currently going on!

Sandlot

Who remembers watching the Sandlot movie? I loved my summers as a kid and dirty knees, baseball and local water holes were a major part of those summers. A vintage vibe was definitely on my mind this summer. I guess I just wish things could be the way they were. A time before video games and smart phones seems like a dream. Summers used to be spent outdoors… all day. Maybe yours still are. For my children though, it’s almost like a punishment. Believe it or not, I have a kid who HATES the beach. Yes, you read that right. Where did I go wrong? I do appreciate that there are kiddos who will get out there for the love of the game (or at least the love of their parents) and have fun with these stylized mini sessions.

Thankful. So very thankful.

I’m thankful for clients who return again and again and feel like family.

I’m thankful that they not only let me play around creatively during their sessions, but also end up loving the results as much as I do.

I’m thankful that I can create a permanent, tangible placeholder for their love.

I’m thankful to God for allowing me to steward His blessings.

I love when I get to photograph newborns and then see them again when they turn one! These milestone sessions are so sweet and I’m so thankful for the people that keep inviting me back into their lives to preserve these memories!

I know sometimes photographers get annoyed when people want to jump in and just “take a quick one”. Like… that’s exactly what we are there for, right?

But this grandma cracked me at my Fresh 48 newborn session that I did in the hospital earlier this week.

Honestly, it is my favorite picture from the session. I love the story that it tells. I love that it’s the kind of moment that rarely gets documented or seen from another perspective.

I find it incredibly special when someone invites me into their home and shows me what their life looks like. I’m honored when they trust me to document those memories.

Not sure how that would look in your home? No problem. Just reach out and let’s talk it out.

Give me window light. Give me skin to skin. I’ll give you magic.

I love in home and in studio maternity sessions because most people feel more free to be themselves. They are less worried about dresses and poses and more focused on each other. THAT’S what I photograph.

Knowing that you and your photographer are on the same page is KEY! I’ll be the first to admit when your inspiration images aren’t something that I do. I’d much rather you have the right photographer for YOU.

Are you looking to capture connection? Do you want to FEEL your pictures? THAT’S what I do.

Do you want posed perfection? Do you want glamour dresses? That’s not me. And that’s ok. There’s a photographer out there for you and y’all are going to create something beautiful. 😉

What do you tend to lean towards when you envision your session? Please tell me in the comments.
